I just finished a shoot for one of my main clients and still had the set up. I got some guys to come in and did a mock band shot. Its the band of the future all playing on their Rock Band instruments. The guys were great to work with. The set is put together with rented items from a company here in LA called IDS. It’s a set rental company. The stair case was on wheels so it could be rolled around. The door and walls all come in 4 to 12 foot sections.
I just blew the light out through the door so it went to white. Using a wide angle lens on my Canon I had them lean in and got that nice distortion. I placed 2 small soft boxes at the camera. One above the camera and one below it. This gives a poor mans ring light effect. I like the small Photo Flex Boxes. They are a bit harder light and I like the look. It was a successful shoot. So busy lately that I have had a hard time keeping up on the blog. I will try and keep it more current.
