There were 4 main plates to make this image.Plate #1. The set shot of the man on his desk. We built a set and suspended items that we wanted to have floating in the water. You can see the plastic fish and the green donut. We worked with the carpet to make it look like its floating. Plate #2.This plate was the interior hallway window casings. It was shot against a blue background to make it easer to drop out. We chose to not put glass in it because there were too many reflections to deal with and glass was one more and did more harm then good.Plate #3With the set in place we wheeled a 100 gallon aquarium in front of the set and shot this plate through it. We wanted to get the reflection of him and the office on the water. The surface reflection looked very good. We worked with different amounts of ripple in the water to see what it would do.Plate #4This was an image I had shot in New York when I was there shooting another project. I got up each morning and shot views of the city as stock before starting the day. We used one of these shots.Julene combined these shots together to get the final image. She does a great job and is very talented. I love these large set projects. It really does excite me.
