Happy new Year.  2010 is here.  There is so much happening in the world of photography and 2010 will bring many more innovations.  For me The Canon 5D and 7D have changed the way I look at Photography.  The two worlds that I have lived in both photography and Film have collided.  I love the options it brings.  A few days ago I was rock climbing in Joshua Tree with my Daughter.
She wants to be a photographer as well.  I can’t talk her out of it.  She seams to have the same desire and commitment that I do.  If you love it there is nothing else that matters or that you want to do.  Its just who you are.

Anyway back to the story.  We got to the camp ground about 11 p.m. and I decided to take some pictures rather than go to bed.  I bought a Canon Timer Remote Control TC-80N3 to try some time-lapse photography.  I framed my camera on a Joshua tree and set the timer to take a photo every 6 seconds.  My shutter speed was at 1 sec at F2.8.  I let it run for 20 minutes.

When I got back to the studio I went to a tutorial and figured out how to make the frames that I had taken into a Quick Time movie using Quick Time Pro.

The Tutorial was at Digital Art work.  It was very easy to follow.
Here is the URL.  http://digitalartwork.net/2007/01/30/time-lapse-tutorial/

Nothing special just my first attempt to take a Time-Lapse movie and this is what I got.  I will do more of this.  It was very exciting to me.
Happy New Year!
